Agile Foundations Course
The British Academy for Training and Development offers a comprehensive Agile Foundations Course, essential principles and practices of Agile project management will be imparted to the attendees. The course begins with an introduction to Agile itself, its values and principles in the Agile Manifesto. With a focus on the more researched methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, students graduate with a much more enriched understanding of the Agile methodology. Roles and responsibilities within Agile teams are explained by the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team. We cover the carrying out Agile planning, product backlogs, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. There is also a great stress on collaboration, and communication-all of them aim towards transparency and team spirit in the development process. Other important areas covered are the incremental delivery and continuous improvement and how Agile promotes regular feedback from stakeholders for refining and evolving the product. It also gives an introduction to Agile metrics, such as velocity, burn-down charts, and lead time, for measuring progress and performance. At the end of the course, attendees will understand how to apply Agile principles to real-life scenarios, in which case it brings customer satisfaction with the assurance of quick delivery and an adaptable canvas for change.
